1. What is the Annual JumpStart Diversity Forum?
A. The MBA Diversity Forum is the premier forum for incoming MBAs interested in pursuing a career in financial services or management consulting. For three days each summer, incoming MBA students learn more about careers in Consulting and Finance through panels, lectures and seminars. The forum provides a well balanced mix of educational and networking opportunities with industry professionals and recruiters from several top-tier Management Consulting and Financial Services Firms.
B. The Ugrad Diversity Forum is the premier experience for undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in financial services or management consulting. For three days each summer, current undergraduate students learn more about careers in Consulting and Finance through panels, lectures and seminars. The forum provides a well balanced mix of educational and networking opportunities with industry professionals and recruiters from several top-tier Management Consulting and Financial Services Firms.
2. When/Where is this year's JumpStart Diversity Forum?
A. The 8th Annual MBA Diversity Forum will be held in Chicago, IL, from July 14-17, 2011.
B. The 2nd Annual Ugrad Diversity Forum will be held in Philadelphia, PA, from August 18-21, 2011.
3. What companies participate in the JumpStart Diversity Forum?
We are pleased to have established an ongoing working relationship with many leading financial services and management consulting companies since 2004.

4. Who is eligible to attend the JumpStart Diversity Forum?
A. In order to be eligible for the MBA Diversity Forum, you must have accepted an offer to attend an MBA program for the class of 2013 and submit a completed application. Only students who are in the summer prior to their first year of business school may attend. The anticipated audience is individuals in the class of under-representative diverse* candidates.
B. In order to be eligible for the Ugrad Diversity Forum, you must be a rising senior (class of 2012), junior (class of 2013), or sophomore (class of 2014) at an undergraduate program and submit a completed application. The anticipated audience is underrepresented diverse* candidates.
5. How do I apply?

6. How are students selected for the forum?
Students are selected based on merit, a completed application and responsiveness to deadlines. Decisions are made by JumpStart and are consistent with our mission. We actively seek to ensure that the forum represents diversity in terms of gender, race, age, education, and prior work experience.
7. What are the Diversity Forum accommodations and associated fees?
For the MBA Diversity Forum, Jumpstart will cover all meal and transportation as part of the scheduled activities (from the beginning of the forum until the end). Lodging includes double occupancy accommodations at the host hotel in Chicago of which attendees are responsible to pay the discounted rate. Specific fees and other costs will be further explained during the application process.
For the Ugrad Diversity Forum, JumpStart will cover transportation to the venue (i.e. airfare or train as applicable), lodging, and meal expenses as part of the scheduled activities (from the beginning of the forum until the end). Lodging includes double occupancy accommodations at the host hotel in Philadelphia. Specific fees and other costs will be further explained during the application process.
8. Can I attend a portion of the Diversity Forum?
All selected student participants are required to attend all scheduled workshops and events. Regardless of your specific career interest, our model exposes all participants to both financial services and management consulting.
9. To be considered, does it matter what school I attend?
Although we have established effective working relationships with certain academic institutions, we recognize that there is a broader talent pool that could benefit from our model. If your candidacy is aligned with details provided in the aforementioned point #4, we encourage all interested individuals to apply.
10. What should I do if I am not selected?
Due to the competitive nature of the application process, we have to turn some very highly qualified students away. However, there may be future opportunities for you with JumpStart.
